Letter: Clear Space Theater thanks gala supporters

October 16, 2018

On Sept. 15, Clear Space Theatre Company hosted Bow Tie and Barefoot, an event commemorating 14 years of providing theater and arts education in southern Delaware. On behalf of the Clear Space Board of Directors, I want to take an opportunity to thank several key sponsors and friends who helped make Bow Tie and Barefoot possible. We are extremely grateful to our community for having embraced and supported our organization’s mission to educate and inspire audiences, artists and students.

First, to the firm of Morris and James, and Lou and Irene Katz as our Executive Producer sponsors, and Luff and Associates as our Playwright sponsor.  Many businesses contributed to our silent auction, including: Mariachi, R Squared, Dos Locos, Accent on Travel, and Jeanine O’Donnell.  We encourage you to patronize these sponsors and thank them for helping to support the arts in Rehoboth Beach! A special thank you is extended to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg for her donation of two autographed books.

Our Development Committee, co-chaired by Laura Mason and Wayne Knaub, as well as our administrative staff did an extraordinary job in organizing the evening’s event at Kings Creek Country Club.  A performance previewing our 2019 season featuring members of our acting company, arranged by Clear Space Artistic Director David Button and accompanied by musical director Melanie Bradley on keyboard capped the evening’s program.

We congratulate this year’s Spotlight Award honorees: Dawn and Chris Weilminster (Advocacy), Jeanine O’Donnell (Volunteer), and Melanie Bradley (Artistic Endeavors.)

Lastly, we’d like to thank our loyal patrons and donors.  Your support and commitment to the arts in Sussex County are helping to shape our cultural landscape for generations to enjoy, and for that we are inspired and grateful.

Wesley E. Paulson
executive director, Clear Space Theatre Company
