Go Red For Women event slated Sept. 16

August 20, 2019

The Go Red For Women Luncheon and Fashion Show, in its 13th year at the Clubhouse at Baywood Greens in Long Neck, will open at 10:45 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16. This year’s speaker will be Dr. Ted Stephenson Jr., who is board-certified in general and cardiothoracic surgery at Beebe Healthcare.

Co-chairs Pat Sandy and Lynn Toth and their committee members are eagerly preparing for the event, which will include a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and ticket auction. A free blood pressure screening will be available between 10:45 and 11:45 a.m.

The cost of the luncheon and fashion show is $30 per person. Proceeds benefit the American Heart Association, a tax-exempt nonprofit corporation. A $500 sponsorship includes 10 tickets and a logo on this year’s program. Additional fundraising donations from the community and merchants are always appreciated and welcome.

Blooming Boutique, Something Comfortable and Beebe's Treasure Chest Thrift Shop will provide the fashions for the show.

Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national call for women by women to take charge of their health and live stronger, healthier lives. For tickets and reservations, contact Tracey Gaines-Powell, 302-934-6420 or Pat Sandy, 302-226-7732.
