Chrzanowski thanks supporters in Rehoboth

August 16, 2019

I want to extend my gratitude to the citizens of Rehoboth Beach, many of whom invited me into their homes and businesses to discuss issues of importance to them, and to offer me guidance and encouragement during the campaign.

A heartfelt thank you to all those who believed in me, worked hard for me, and voted for me on election day and by absentee ballot.

The voters made a clear choice on election day.  You elected candidates who focused on the issues, ran positive campaigns, and who are committed to and optimistic about the future of Rehoboth Beach.  I know that I am ready to work hard to solve the issues we addressed during the campaign as well as the challenges that will arise in the coming years.

I believe that we are a community of one made up of many residents, businesses and guests - and I intend to represent the best interests of our entire community.  Above all, I will be a strong proponent of a very simple governing principle: all are to be treated fairly, equitably and always respectfully by me and those who are employees and representatives of our government.

I stand ready to work with Susan Gay as well as the mayor and the other commissioners to respond to the concerns and needs of Rehoboth Beach citizens.  I can assure you that I will work diligently and collaboratively to make Rehoboth Beach the best place that it can be for all of us.

Citizen involvement - not just on election day - is essential to good government.  I encourage all our citizens to remain involved in our community and our government, ask questions of your elected officials, provide input, make your voices heard, and hold us accountable.

I am honored to represent you.

Edward Joseph Chrzanowski
commissioner-elect of Rehoboth Beach
