William ‘Billy’ Bruno, appreciated the arts
William “Billy” Bruno, 70, of Milton, formerly of Brick Township, N.J., passed away Nov. 17, 2019, at Delaware Hospice Center after a long battle with renal cancer. He was a Highland Park High School graduate, class of 1967.
An appreciator of the arts, Bill was an avid photographer and watercolor painter. Bill spent many years as a chef, restaurant owner, professional wedding photographer and tournament poker player. He loved photography and watercolor painting, greatly enjoying them both in his final years. He loved the beach, Asbury Park and the Mets.
He is preceded by his mother, Marie; father, Nicholas; first wife, Nina; and their son, Antonio, who passed away in 1969.
He is survived by his daughters, Maggie and Ariell Bruno; grandchildren, Emelia and Matthew; partner Linda; good friends like Tom Amante; and mother of his children, Peggy Sposato. Though he had no siblings, he is survived by countless cousins, of whom he always said “because of them I never felt like an only child.” He is also survived by his aunts, Lee Yock and Rose Kimball.
