Deacon Roosevelt Middleton, served his church

Deacon Roosevelt Middleton left his earthly vessel in Lewes at Beebe Healthcare to ascend to his heavenly home Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Roosevelt (affectionately known at birth "SonnyBoy")  was born Jan. 15, 1933, to the late Arthur and Idella Middleton in Natchitoches, La.

SonnyBoy left Louisiana and settled in the state of Delaware where he met and married the love of his life, Mary.  His career of working ended when he retired from Ocean Downs.  He was ordained as a deacon at the Trinity Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry Morris where he served faithfully and mentored others until his death.  

Survivors include his devoted wife, Mary Middleton; daughters, Sandra LeViege of Louisiana, Valarie White of Delaware, Marie Middleton of California and Marilyn Middleton (deceased); sons Roosevelt  Bailey and Corey of Middleton; sister ArthurMae Hardy of Louisiana.  His siblings who preceded him in death are Rachel Young, Joyce Davis, Nora Russell, Pearlie Sarpy, Willie Middleton, Robert Middleton and John Henry Middleton.  

Deacon Roosevelt leaves to mourn his passing numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and Trinity Holiness Church family.  He will be greatly missed; we all adored him.  Rest in sweet peace husband, father, grandfather, bBrother, uncle, cousin.
