The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice honored students from Mariner Middle School May 24 for their demonstration of leadership, improvement, effort and excellence.
Christopher Harris is an amazing student who sets a positive example for his fellow classmates. Teachers say he works hard in class, is always willing to help others, never hesitates to offer his opinions during class discussions, and cares deeply about the quality of his work.
Teachers say Jayden Wilson is an amazing student who attends his Zoom classes with a smile and completes all assignments. Jayden takes pride in his work and always answers questions thoroughly and thoughtfully.
Each student received a $15 gift card to Browseabout Books in Rehoboth; SDARJ contributes $10 to each gift card, and Browseabout contributes $5.
SDARJ’s education committee initiated the award to recognize students in the Cape district who represent ideals of leadership, effort and excellence in their schools.
