O for a Cup of Joe blood drive starts in Rehoboth Nov. 26

Bayhealth and Blood Bank brew incentives for donating
November 23, 2021

A collaboration between Bayhealth and the Blood Bank of Delmarva is brewing incentives for donating blood this season.

The O for a Cup of Joe series will kick off from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Black Friday, Nov. 26, at the Blood Bank of Delmarva’s Rehoboth Beach location, Suite 1630 Seaside Outlet Drive in the Tanger Outlets.

Everyone who donates type O – and any other type of blood – during the O for a Cup of Joe series will receive a gift card to participating coffee house locations and will be entered to win numerous prizes, including a MacBook. The promotion runs through March 2022.

Shoppers are welcome to stop by, grab a free cup of joe and a shopping tote while supplies last, and sign up to make a future blood donation. When they do, they’ll be eligible to win one of five $100 gift cards. Winners will be notified by Friday, Dec. 3.

“We see the positive impact that blood donors make each day on our patients who need it most,” said Chris Dukes, Bayhealth senior director of laboratory services. “When you donate, you are saving lives – it’s that simple and that meaningful. Join us on Black Friday and give to save a life this season.”

“We’re grateful to collaborate with Bayhealth in the O for a Cup of Joe series,” said Marie Forrestal, Blood Bank of Delmarva director of donor recruitment. “They truly understand the benefit of blood donations as they care for patients each day who are directly impacted by donations.”
