Renovations underway at Bethany Blues of Lewes
Exciting things are happening at Bethany Blues of Lewes as the entire restaurant is getting an updated, modern look.
Phase one has already been completed with the opening of Blues Express, which offers quick service for both carryout and dine-in, and is currently open daily.
Phase two, currently underway, will encompass the remainder of the restaurant, bar area and outdoor spaces. These renovations will usher in the ability to offer multifaceted services for all guests.
“This is our 14th year in this location, so we wanted to make sure we are rolling with the times, and keeping updated on modern trends and experiences. It’s part of what keeps us moving forward as a business, and helps us remain steadfast in our mission to go above and beyond in all we do. Our guests are going to absolutely love these changes,” said Jessica Nathan, director of operations.
The idea is to give the whole restaurant, including the outdoor spaces, a facelift and make it a more open, cohesive space that marries comfort along with the jovial vibe customers have come to expect from Blues. There will be new dedicated spaces for the catering department, and the dining room and outdoor seating area will be outfitted with a whole new look.
The way Blues is updating the space is going to be stunning and give an open feel, while also creating some really intimate areas. The addition of a new bourbon bar in the back room will foster a cozy environment while also allowing new sight lines to the stage where live music is happening in the larger bar area. Having two bar areas will allow folks to come in and enjoy according to their moods, from the lively atmosphere in the main bar and music area, to the trendy bourbon-focused bar for craft cocktails.
“When all is said and done, and we are reopened to full capacity, the combination of the new Blues Express, the great dining and bar experiences, as well as the additional bar, will give us a variety of mediums to deliver the Blues experience to customers at any stage of their lives. Cozy on a date at the bourbon bar, on the run for a quick stop, sitting down for a great meal, or catching music with your friends,” said Nathan.
Blues is on target to host a huge reopening in the spring.
