Crystals 101 session set at HealTree Feb. 23

HealTree will present Crystals 101 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 1632 Savannah Road, Suite 9, Lewes.

Dean Snell will share an introduction to the science of crystal energies, and their application in healing and other energetic activities. Participants will explore the different variants of crystals and their resonance in people’s daily lives. Snell will discuss a brief history of crystal origins and early application of crystal therapies. Participants will learn the basic practices of crystal energies, healing and everyday application of crystals.

Snell is a lifelong practitioner of crystal therapies. From a very young age, he has studied the energies and applications of crystals in aiding with betterment, enlightenment, self-care and protection. Snell is known for his extensive knowledge in energy healing and balancing, primarily through the use of crystals and gemstones. He is a licensed massage therapist, practitioner of energy healing, and crystal therapist. He operates Well with Your Soul, a metaphysical and wellness business, in partnership with a reiki practitioner.

Across generations and cultures, crystals have been utilized to promote well-being, offer protection and even help alleviate hangovers. Crystal healing dates back to approximately 2000 BC in documented accounts from the Sumerians, the first civilization in Mesopotamia.

In more recent times, humans have begun to explore the light structure, growth structure and vibratory patterns of crystals to help understand their metaphysical powers and properties.

Each crystal holds a spectrum of light, also known as electromagnetic energy; this light spectrum is believed to work with surrounding energies to either amplify, neutralize or absorb them.

Also, each crystal has a unique growth pattern. Diamonds, for example, have an octagonal growth structure which determines their strength and stable vibrational pattern. Energy vibrates at certain frequencies, and as everything is energy, so do crystals. Each crystal’s vibrational frequency aligns with their electromagnetic properties and structural properties in a way that potentially intensifies the intended well-being or healing property of the crystal.
