Volunteers sought for Lewes Juneteenth celebration
The Lewes African-American Heritage Commission will hold a volunteers meeting via Zoom at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21.
Volunteers are requested for Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25, for the Lewes Juneteenth Celebration in George H.P. Smith Park.
It is not a requirement to work both days, and anyone wishing to volunteer may do so in blocks permitted by their own personal schedule.
Commissioner Trina Brown-Hicks is coordinating the volunteers, and more information can be found on her Facebook page Memories of Lewes.

Lewes public art meeting set June 22
The Lewes Public Art Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, at the Rollins Community Center.
Committee members will discuss the 2022 exhibitions recently installed.
There will be an update on the 2023 community art project, which is under the direction of Amanda Brower.
The committee will discuss new ideas during the meeting.

Republican women’s club to meet June 22
Sussex County Republican Women's Club will hold a dinner meeting at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, at Mulligan's Pointe, 22426 Sussex Pines Road, Georgetown.
Guest speakers this month include Carl Phelps, Representative District 14 candidate; Dr. Jeff Hilovsky and Bradley Layfield, RD 4 candidates; Robert Lee, candidate for Sussex County sheriff; and Doug Hudson, Sussex County Council District 4 candidate.
