Color My World exhibit on display at Milton Arts Guild
Milton Arts Guild announced Color My World, its current exhibit, features 37 works that represent the many colors and varied media of visual arts, including oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, along with fiber and glass art.
“Color My World, like all of our 2022 shows to date, illustrates not only our growth in the past year, but also the diversity of our artists’ talents, viewpoints and individual aesthetics,” said Sue Dutton, Milton Arts Guild board of directors president. “We continue to be proud and humbled by the wave of interest and enthusiasm we enjoy, both by our growing group of artist-members, and by the Milton community and beyond.”
Color My World runs through Sunday, Oct. 9 at Milton Arts Guild gallery, 107 Federal St., Milton. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday to Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday.
The guild is also making plans for its 2022 Art Walk, set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15. The walk highlights the works of as many as 20 artists stationed on beautiful porches throughout downtown Milton. Visitors can stroll the route, guided by a map, to talk with artists and view their works.
“Art Walk gives our artists and the community a relaxed day of enjoying the autumn air, walking with children and pets, and discovering new works of art,” said Lynda Rae Gannon, Milton Arts Guild board vice president. “Each year, more than 200 people have taken part in this special event.”
