Reawakened Mom Circle coffee chat set Oct. 11

Melissa Clampitt launches mothers’ group for support and empowerment
October 6, 2022

Motherhood changes so much for women. It can alter their lives deeply and indefinitely.

As children grow, mothers also change and grow. However, for many women, this process can mean loss, because mothers have a way of losing themselves in their children, their family and the business of life.

Melissa Clampitt, co-owner of Po’ Boys Creole Restaurant in Milton, managing director of the Lewes Chapter of Polka Dot Powerhouse, and small business owner, set out to start a conversation to reawaken and empower moms.

Early this year, she launched The Reawakened Mom podcast. She has welcomed guests including relationship coach Naomi Stonier, Rehoboth’s own yoga and meditation expert Tara Gush, youth and family coach Anna Brice, and notable musician and fellow podcaster Alana Gentry, known to the young ones as Alana Banana, among others.

In celebrating The Reawakened Mom podcast’s 40th episode, Clampitt has launched The Reawakened Mom Circle, a place for moms to gather, exchange ideas, discuss parenting, and find their internal power so they can reawaken themselves.

“I started the podcast because I knew so many moms who were saying the same things: They didn’t feel seen. They were overwhelmed with parenting. They felt they had lost a piece of themselves. I created the podcast and now the circle for them, because everyone needs to have a place where they feel seen,” Clampitt said.

All moms of all ages are invited to join the circle and be invited to gatherings where they can hear from speakers and other moms about how they navigate the journey of motherhood. They will be able to meet new friends and have a group of others who will walk beside them. Gatherings will be in person and virtual. Summits, coaching and events are being planned for the future.

The circle just recently opened to founding members, so by joining now, women can be among the first to help create and grow this sacred space, Clampitt said.

The first Reawakened Mom Circle coffee chat is set for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Po’ Boys Creole Restaurant in Milton.
