Premier fashion and beauty expo displays glamour and grace
On the Avenue, Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s Premier Fashion and Beauty Expo took place Nov. 13 at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, where fashion, food and fun was the order of the afternoon. Attendees had the opportunity to preview the newest women’s and men's fashions, available at many downtown Rehoboth Beach retailers.
A portion of the proceeds go to the Harry K Foundation.
Drexel Davison of Bad Hair Day was presented with the Citizen of the Year award from Rehoboth Beach Main Street. Cindy Lovett was honored for her work with Rehoboth in Bloom.
Davison of Bad Hair Day and Maddie Overturf of WDRE were the hosts of the event.
Runway rashion show participating retailers include Beach Essentials, Bombshell Boutique, Boutique W., Braash, Carlton’s, Cashmere Gardens, Charm City Running, Coral Cove, Grace, Pineapple Princess, Quiet Storm Surf Shop, Something Comfortable, South Moon Under, The Pink Turtle and Top It Off.
A delicious brunch served and prepared by the Pines.
Entertainment was by the Sussex Dance Academy.



Dan has worked for the Cape Gazette for more than 30 years as a photographer and reporter, covering high school sports and happenings around eastern Sussex County. He won a photography award from the National Newspaper Association, and numerous awards from the Maryland, Delaware, D.C. Press Association. A Delaware native, Dan graduated from Cape in 1972 and returned as a teacher and coach in the 1980s. He retired from the classroom in 2016. He was inducted into Cape High’s Legends Stadium in 2016. In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, grandchildren and dogs.
