Mama’s Black Sheep will perform at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, at The Room at Cedar Grove near Lewes.
The event benefits Paul Kares, a charity supporting young musicians and aspiring culinary professionals. Recent grants include $3,000 for the Cape Henlopen High School jazz band.
Featuring Ashland Miller on guitar and vocals, and Laura Cerulli on drums and vocals, the duo performs originals and cover tunes from pop, country, rock, soul and blues genres.
“Last year, we started a singer-songwriter showcase series at an appealing ticket price that went over extraordinarily well,” said Paul Cullen, co-founder of Paul Kares and owner of Paul’s Kitchen, which shares space with The Room at Cedar Grove.
“Ashland and Laura are the first performers of our 2023 season, and I know the audience will love their blend of vocals, guitar and percussion,” said Cullen, a chef and musician who previously played with Bad Company.
Tickets are $25 each, and Paul’s Kitchen will offer food and beverages for a separate fee.
