The popular band Pressing Strings will return to The Room at Cedar Grove near Lewes at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 7.
Based in Annapolis, Md., the band was founded by Jordan Sokel, who left college in 2007 to pursue his passion for music. The rest, as they say, is history. Although the band members initially focused on folk, they now play a soulful mix of bluesy rock and have a talent for putting a unique style on well-known covers.
The Lewes performance benefits Paul Kares, a nonprofit organization supporting young musicians and aspiring culinary professionals.
The Room at Cedar Grove is at 32882 Cedar Grove Road near Lewes.
