Article captures importance of Kwanzaa

January 19, 2024

A special thank you to reporter Ellen Driscoll for the comprehensive and informative coverage and photos of the Sunshine Circle Club’s 2023 Kwanzaa awards program. Her article captured the significance of Kwanzaa as an important celebration of African Americans’ culture and history beginning Dec. 26 and continuing for seven days, ending Jan. 1. The recipients of the awards are important people in the community, not just for African Americans, but for everyone. It does take a village.
