Milton is synonymous with families who have lived there for years. The Brittinghams, Burnhams, Betts, Harveys, Kings, Schrimers and many more, too numerous to include. Fred Harvey is a man who grew up in Milton, raised his children, worked in our school system and volunteered his time to the school, the fire department and our youth in Milton, Lewes and Rehoboth.
Everyone knows and respects Mr. Harvey. What is so special about Fred is that he truly cares about his community. I worked with Fred at the Milton Middle School under the tutelage of Bill Howell. It was then that I saw his interaction with the students and his effort to show that they could become young gentlemen, and Boys to Men was born. Since that time, he has been involved with the Milton Fire Department, his church and the Town of Milton. He also drives the school bus for our Cape Henlopen girls’ field hockey and lacrosse teams.
His knowledge of Milton and its people knows no bounds. He's on the pulse of what is needed in this town, whether it be expansion or new infrastructure. If you know Fred, you know he has a big personality and the ability to get along with others. His focus on issues will be paramount to the Town of Milton and its residents. A vote for Fred is a vote for the hometown atmosphere Milton exemplifies.
