Royal Farms proposal has many flaws

February 27, 2024

We vehemently oppose the proposed Royal Farms gas station, convenience store and car wash at the corner of Route 24 and Angola Road.

The proposal would adversely impact traffic and access for school buses, safety and emergency services to local residents. Furthermore, the proposal would severely impact drinking water for 23 local communities and the water quality of inland bays, including Rehoboth Bay.

Local residents have ready access to gas stations, car washes, grocery and convenience stores all along Route 24 in Lewes, Long Neck and Millsboro. We do not need another Royal Farms to clog our waterways and roads.
