The community of Wagamons West Shore in Milton was established around 2004. In 2024, the town issued the following: All homes with irrigation systems must have a back-flow valve checked by a licensed plumber at a cost to the homeowner. Wells for irrigation were not permitted and, as a result, you needed to purchase a separate meter for around $500 and have a plumber make the hookup, resulting in two water bills. This after approximately 20 years without needing it. It seems like a money tree for plumbers and the town. There’s no explanation that I’m aware of as to why this became necessary.
