Proposed Milton tax increase is not acceptable

August 16, 2024

Hooray to the vice mayor of Milton.

Yes, it was only a $1 idea by Vice Mayor Lee Reevis-Plank to help Milton finances, but at least a thought in the right direction.

How can the mayor and town council think they can push a 30% tax increase through?

Who created this mess? If they think a tax-and-spend plan is the way out, they should all resign.

The least they can do is issue stop-work orders on all new construction and new building permits now.

Think about this: Many elderly and poor residents of our town probably don't have 30% more to shell out.

For this idea, this tax increase is not acceptable.
