No more pay to park in Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Beach’s pay-to-park season ended at the close of the day Sept. 15.

Bikes are again permitted on the Boardwalk all day, but dogs are prohibited from the beach and Boardwalk through Monday, Sept. 30. After that date, leashed dogs are permitted through to April 30.

Rehoboth officials to meet Sept. 20

Rehoboth Beach commissioners will meet at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20, in the city hall commissioners room, 229 Rehoboth Ave. The agenda includes the swearing-in of Commissioners-elect Suzanne Goode and Craig Thier, election of officers, a presentation by the public works department, an update on community grants and a possible vote on changes to city code related to the building inspector's authority to interpret and enforce the zoning code.

Lewes architectural group to meet

The Lewes Historic Preservation Architectural Review Commission will met at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Rollins Center.

The agenda includes discussion and possible action on three applications: 7 Jefferson Court, 132 S. Washington Ave. and 20 Shipcarpenter Square.

African American groups to meet

The Lewes Johnnie Walker Beach Subcommittee will meet at 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, at city hall.

The Lewes African American Heritage Commission will meet in the same location at 6 p.m. Both agendas include review and possible action on a Delaware 250 grant.

Lewes council to hold ARPA roundtable

Lewes Mayor and City Council will hold a roundtable at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, at city hall.

The discussion is regarding the obligation of remaining American Rescue Plan Act funds by the Dec. 31 deadline.

Energy-saving info session set Sept. 18

Delmarva Power and Energize Delaware representatives will give presentations on saving energy from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.
