Celebrating a season that came to a close with a third straight DIAA semifinal appearance, the Cape unified flag football team hosted its end-of-year banquet Dec. 10, at Nicola Pizza in Lewes.

Zane Richardson took home the team MVP Award and represented the Vikings on the All-Henlopen Conference team. Michael Anthony, Hank Anderson and Ashlyn Panyko received sportsmanship awards for their efforts that contributed to a positive environment on the team and during games.

Richardson hopes to continue his streak of athletic excellence when unified basketball starts the season at 4 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, at home against Milford.
