CHEER offers a full range of services for mature adults that ensures you or your loved one has safe, dependable choices so they can remain in their home while maintaining the quality of life they have come to expect.
From Personal Care services to Transportation and Senior Housing, to Meals on Wheels and a mobile Grocery Mini-Mart, to Nutrition Programs and Support Groups, to Companionship and Housekeeping, to our state-of-the-art Activity Centers located throughout Sussex County, CHEER offers comprehensive care and healthy lifestyle choices for mature adults so they may live a full and independent life as they age. Our vast array of programs and services tailored towards boomers and seniors is what makes CHEER so unique.
Senior Activity Centers
Memberships are only $30 annually. The membership form is here.
CHEER operates 8 senior activity centers throughout Sussex County. These centers offer meals, activities, fitness equipment, classes, trips, guest speakers, transportation and more!
CHEER’s senior activity centers are located in Georgetown, Greenwood, Lewes (Harbour Lights), Long Neck, Milton, Roxana, Ocean View Delaware. Explore them here.
Personal Care Program (In-home)
We take great pride in delivering personalized, compassionate, professional care in the comfort of your home. The CHEER Personal Care programs offer four distinct choices: Personal Assistance, Housekeeping, Companionship and Respite to Caregivers. These services allow seniors to live independently in their own home while maintaining the quality of life they have come to expect. CHEER is a licensed, bonded, and insured Personal Assistance Service Agency (PASA).
Respite Care
Respite care services are also available to assist the caregivers who are juggling jobs, personal lives and caring for a loved one. Whether your needs are short-term or long-term, whether you need help once a week or twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, CHEER can help. For decades, Delaware’s Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) has awarded contracts for personal and respite care to CHEER. The State of Delaware trusts CHEER and you can too!
CHEER Travel Club
CHEER offers several single-day and multi-day trips throughout the year. These trips are open to everyone, regardless of age or membership status. Check our website for the latest opportunities!
CHEER Events
Throughout the year, CHEER hosts a variety of events open to the public. From dinner/dances, craft fairs, picnics at Trap Pond State Park, and more CHEER is the place to be for fun! Learn more here.

CHEER Hospitality
If you are looking for a local meeting and event space, CHEER Hospitality has what you need. CHEER Hospitality Venues can accommodate small and large groups for events of all types. With WIFI capabilities, projection equipment, AV services, lighting and sound systems, the CHEER Hospitality Venues are equipped for a successful meeting. CHEER Catering is available to make your event complete. When looking for a place to hold a business meeting, club meeting, lecture, training or gala event, CHEER Hospitality is the perfect choice. Locations include Greenwood, Milton, Lewes, Long Neck, Ocean View and the CHEER Community Center in Georgetown.
