Beebe opens primary-care facility in Long Neck

June 23, 2025

Beebe Healthcare celebrated the opening of its new Long Neck primary-care facility June 11.

With the addition of four physician residents this summer, this office will be able to offer about 20,000 appointments per year for all ages, with a focus on health, wellness and quality of life; comprehensive women’s health services; obstetrical services, including pre- and post-natal care for moms; men’s health services; pediatric care; mental health programs and services; dermatology services; osteopathic manipulative medicine to optimize preventive care and streamline the process of healing; point-of-care ultrasound; and health education and wellness guidance.

“If you look at four years ago, this was an empty field with a clinic, and we were doing drive-up COVID testing,” said Dr. David Tam, president and CEO of Beebe Healthcare. “Now, we have a brand-new building that will serve up to 20,000 clinic visits a year. This is about continuing to fulfill my personal mission of providing high-quality healthcare to the people who live here without them having go up the street to Wilmington or Philadelphia or even across the bay to D.C.”

The grand opening featured family-friendly activities such as face painting, car seat checks, gift bags and the Pretzelvania food truck. Also on hand were representatives from Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, Sussex County EMS and Beebe’s Mobile Health Clinic.
