James A. Walls, loving brother, uncle, friend
James A. Walls of Webster, Texas, formerly of Milford, departed this life Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025. Jim was born in Salisbury, Md., June 18, 1946. He was the son of the late James L. Walls and the late Mildred Megee Walls. He graduated from Milford High School in 1964 and entered the U.S. Marine Corps in September of that year. Jim proudly served his country as a Marine and completed a tour of duty in Vietnam in 1967. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1968. Following his discharge, Jim worked in a variety of industries before settling in as a demolition expert. He worked for a number of demolition companies around the U.S., supervising the demolition of refineries, mines, and buildings. Jim’s last employer was based in Houston, Texas. Jim retired from that company in 2016.
Jim was dearly loved by his family, and his wry wit and dry sense of humor will be missed by family and friends alike. He was a huge fan of the Phillies, the Eagles, and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He was also an avid reader and storyteller. Jim’s stories usually began with “I once knew this guy…”. A free spirit in many ways, Jim travelled the country through work-related activities and had an uncanny ability to make friends wherever he went.
In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his sister, Jeannette Reale; his sister, Toni Diogo; his brother, Robert “Bobby” Walls; his nephew, Anthony Reale; and his niece, Teresa “Missy” Rogers. He is survived by his sister, Molly Rogers Kirby; his brother, William “Bill” Walls and wife Donna; his sister-in-law, Elaine Walls; and his former brother-in-law and friend, Gary Rogers. Jim is also survived by his nieces, Lisa Draper, Jennifer Tucker (Butch), Yvette Dennehy (Brad), Danielle Deinert (Andrew), and Rachel Whaley (Zach), and nephews Keith Walls (Linzy), Kevin Walls (Joanna), and Zach Diogo (Rita). He also has many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss his sense of humor and charm as well.
Jim is also survived by his ex-wife, Jan Murphy, and his ex-wife and special friend, Judy Dale. The family is very grateful for the care and love Jim received in his final months from Judy and her sister, Julie Gray.
Anyone who remembers Jim knows he occasionally enjoyed a cold beer. If you remember him that way, raise a glass and remember him with love.
A private memorial service at a later date.
