Milton council selects new logo
Milton Town Council unanimously approved a new logo that will be part of the town’s branding going forward.
The logo, approved Nov. 3, was a project taken on by Milton Main Street, which also helped come up with the town’s tagline of “Livable. Walkable. Unforgettable.” The new logo, whose development was funded by Main Street, incorporates the tagline and features an image with the Broadkill River, the library and the central business area.
Gloria Garcia, chair of Milton Main Street, said the key feature of the logo is the river, which was identified as one of Milton’s key assets. Town council’s main change to the logo was incorporating the phrase “The Historic Town of Milton.”
Garcia said, “Milton Main Street is thrilled to have the final town logo approved that highlights the best of Milton – the Broadkill River, our historic downtown and our vibrant small businesses at its heart.”
The logo will begin appearing soon as Main Street kicks off the Christmas season with the return of Santa’s Winter Wonderland, the Santa house that will be located down by the waterfront. The dates for the Santa house will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturdays, Nov. 29, Dec. 6 and Dec. 13.
Garcia said Main Street is also planning an event for Dec. 6, when three live Christmas trees will be placed at Mill Park and decorated by students from Milton schools.
