Delmarva Christian High School has concluded its annual J-Term program for students in grades nine through 12.
Every January, opportunities are provided to students enabling them to pursue their passions while seeking and discerning God’s call on their lives. J-Term is a two-week experience that extends learning beyond the traditional classroom through hands-on courses, service, travel and real-world exploration.
During J-Term 2026, students participated in a variety of on-campus courses offered in full-day, morning and afternoon formats. Course offerings included Robotics, Makeup and Skin Care, Protecting Our Beaches, Pickleball, Cooking for Service and Taste of Delaware, Coffee Club and Fellowship, and Book Nook. Additional courses included a study of The Holocaust, Puzzle Me This, Intro to Filmmaking, Crafting Through the Ages, Competing Biblically, and Coding. These courses provided students with opportunities to explore interests, develop skills and engage in learning through hands-on and creative experiences.
In addition to on-campus coursework, students participated in off-campus opportunities including travel experiences and internships. Some students traveled to Atlanta to attend the Passion Conference. Led by Lauren Troyer, high school English teacher, the trip allowed students a chance to step beyond the classroom and experience powerful worship, teaching and community with a generation passionate about living for what matters most. Senior Madison Little said, “Passion was an experience I will never forget. It is amazing to see 45,000 people gather in a stadium for the sole purpose of experiencing Christ.”
Other students participated in a mission trip to Jamaica, while a significant number completed preapproved internships, gaining valuable real-world experience in more than 40 professional settings. Students also explored learning beyond the classroom through the History, Space and Nature course.
J-Term continues to be a meaningful season of growth and discovery for Delmarva Christian students.
