Top 5 Financial and Non-Financial Planning Concerns for Retirees: A Recap
Over the past few months, I have had a series of articles on the key financial and non-financial concerns of folks entering into retirement or getting settled in their retirement years. A key point in the series is that not everyone has all of the concerns, but many folks have some – or many – of them, so you are not alone on this journey.
And a second key point is that not all of the concerns have anything to do with your financial situation. People who should not have any money worries may still find themselves anxious about whether they do, or should, have such worries. And others may hesitate to spend money on things that would bring them enjoyment now due to concerns about what might happen down the road. And then there are real concerns about lifestyle changes, health issues, legacy planning, etc.
In the spirit of the annual awards season such as the Emmys, Grammys, and Oscars, which make us think about what happened in the past year in TV, music, and the movies, I invite you to revisit the series (or read them for the first time if you missed out) and see if there is anything that resonates with you.
Here are the topics and the links to the Cape Gazette articles for you.
