David A. Lockwood Sr., loved woodworking
David A. Lockwood, Sr., 63, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was born in Chestertown, Md., Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1948, son of the late Arthur Jackson and Geraldine (Kelley) Lockwood.
Mr. Lockwood was a resident of Lewes for the past 13 years, coming from Bear. He was a member of the Carpenter's Local Union 626 and was a very hardworking man. A carpenter by trade, he loved woodworking and restoring and detailing cars.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Patricia A. (Pierce) Lockwood; one daughter; Gloria Brooks; one son, David Lockwood Jr.; one brother, J. Keith Lockwood and his extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes. Family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m.
