Gail Kemp, Milton business owner
Gail Kemp of Houston died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at Delaware Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Giesen, Germany, the daughter of Jesse and Margaret Nicholls.
Prior to retirement, she and her late husband Carl “Timmy” Kemp owned and operated Kemp's Package Store in Milton.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Timmy" Kemp; brother, Ronnie Nicholls; and sister, Brenda Moore. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Nicholls of Dover; five children, Audrey Eason and her husband Fred of Magnolia, Brett England of Livonia, Mich., Billy England of Felton, Yvonne Owen and husband Kevin of Pittsgrove Township, N.J. and Jenny Hemple and husband David, of Elmer, N.J.; grandchildren, Brittany Anderson and her fiancé Brandon of Long Neck, Logan Anderson, Kara England, Lindsey England, Kaityln Owen, Kyle Owen, Jordan Hemple, Tim Hemple and Hannah Hemple; sisters, Barbara Wininger and her husband Joe of Viola, and Terri Harrington and her husband Butch of Felton; and her nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
