Meals on Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth held its annual awards luncheon Dec. 5 at the Atlantic Sands Ballroom. Certificates are awarded for the number of hours served and also for the number of years served. The William B. Holman Volunteer of the Year award is also presented.
For more than 10 years, Charles and Lynn Theologus have prepared 20 to 25 special Christmas meals for Meals on Wheels clients who want to have their family come to their home for the holiday but cannot cook or afford to buy the food for them.
They also provide gifts to all the children under the age of 18 who will be there on Christmas day. They make homebound clients' Christmas a special one as this enables them to be with their families. Shown are (l-r) Kathy Keuski, director; Lynn and Charles Theologus; and Morgan Whalen, volunteer coordinator.
