Sussex citizens must make voices heard

January 11, 2014

Without reasonable planning, we are headed toward the proverbial killing of the Golden Goose. Sussex County can continue to attract new residents, grow its economy and maintain its quality of life, but doing that requires a comprehensive approach that considers the costs and need for infrastructure. The county council has the power to address this issue, but so far has not had the will to do it.

How do we get them to listen? Citizens of Sussex County need to make their voices heard, not just about their concerns regarding the project that is planned in their neighborhood, but the overall effect of the proliferation of development on the whole county. We need to elect officials who have the vision, courage and common sense to plan ahead.
