MES students study Jackie Robinson, write memoirs for Scholastic/MLB essay contest

In recognition of Black History Month, Milton Elementary School fifth-grade social studies students are studying the life of Jackie Robinson and writing essays about a barrier they have faced. Included in the essay must be one or more of Robinson’s nine values - courage, persistence, justice, determination, integrity, commitment, teamwork, excellence and citizenship.
Essays will be entered in the Scholastic/Major League Baseball Breaking Barriers Essay Contest.
