Mildred 'Jackie' Rowles, retired secretary

Mildred J. “Jackie” Rowles, 82, of Milton, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at home.

Born in Loudon County, Va., July 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William Marshall and Mildred (Hoge) Rawlings.

Mrs. Rowles was an executive secretary at the University of Delaware for 31 years before retiring. She also enjoyed reading.

Jackie is survived by her husband: James Rowles, Milton; son: David Allison, Elkton, Md.; two daughters: Susan DiSabatino of Fallston, Md. and Marian Roberts of Chatham, Va.; and a sister: Merrie Creasy of Westminster, Md. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11, at 2 p.m., at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main St., North East, Md., where family and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m.
