On June 30, friends, neighbors, volunteers and local officials attended a ribbon cutting at the Greater Lewes Community Village to inaugurate the new ramp built by Evergreene Builders to make the Blue House, home of the village, handicap accessible.
Also in attendance was Volunteer of the Month Rex Shipp, who helped create the entry garden alongside Warren Golde of Lewes in Bloom, who landscaped the walkway.
Lewes in Bloom will also install a butterfly garden on the property later this summer. Thanks to the local community, the Blue House of the Greater Lewes Community Village is now accesible to all members of the city.
The office is located at 225 Schley Ave. in Lewes. Call 302-703-2568 or go to www.greaterlewescommunityvillage.org for more information.
