Worcester Prep sixth-graders perform 'Comic Book Artist'

Worcester Preparatory School sixth-grade students presented the play "Comic Book Artist" by Pat Lydersen in the Athletic and Performing Arts Center Oct. 27. Directed by WPS Middle School teachers Linda Smith and Susan Godwin, "Comic Book Artist" was performed for parents and friends of the Class of 2022 and fellow WPS students in prekindergarten through eighth grade.

In addition to the talented group of sixth-grade players, the performance was made possible by the help of the behind-the-scenes crew. Set construction was handled by parents Brian Lewis and Will Godwin; sound by Middle and Upper School music teacher Christopher Buzby, Upper School teacher Nancy Raskauskas, and ninth-grader Matt Durkin; lighting by ninth-grader Julia Godwin; spotlighting by students Lily Baeurle, Tabi Curry, Nick Hearne and Marshall Mumford; makeup by parents Courtney Baeurle,Tammy Beebe, Donna Cannon and Christie Phillips. Other helpers were reception coordinators Jennifer Hershey and Brigit Taylor; and photographers Diane Brown and Tara Becker. Set-up, take-down and maintenance were done by WPS Building and Grounds staff Jim Riley, Lincoln Stanley and Corey Carrigan. Program design was by Linda Smith, and greeting hostesses were students Lily Baeurle and Tabi Curry.
