Should I Encourage My Aging Parents to Relocate to Delaware?

My elderly parents do not want to move

We get quite a few calls from Baby Boomers who want to relocate their aging parents to Delaware. Some are moving here themselves and do not want to leave their parents behind. But, do the parents even want to move? In many cases, they don’t want to leave their home of 40 years or more.

What are the options?

  • Remain back in their own home all alone.
  • Move into a Continuing Care Retirement Community if the resources are available.
  • Move in with you or another family member.
  • They can move to Delaware but not live with you.
