Looking for something to do with the family at the beach that costs nothing but provides an enriching experience?  How about an activity out of the sun on a hot summer day?  Want to find a quiet retreat away from traffic and beach crowds?  We have just the suggestion for you...

Delaware has over 150 miles of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, bird watching and more, and the Fred Hudson Trail is one breathtaking section of it.  Aptly named after the neighboring road to which it is connected, the trail runs north and south between trees, on pine needles, on stone-surfaces, over bridges and sidewalks.

People of all ages and their pets can traverse this pathway by Fresh Pond as it not only  one of the easier trails because of its flatness, it is also handicap accessible.  Stop on the bridge to look east and west and view the water tower or one of our native birds, the Blue Heron.  More information regarding the many hidden gems of trails throughout our area can be found on the Delaware State Park website.
