‘Mimi’ thanks community for fundraiser

April 14, 2017

"Hugs for Mimi" Wow! An extraordinary event!

The volunteers, bless each and every one, they gave up their personal time organizing, collecting, phone calls, etc. They managed to put the event together and worked endlessly to make the event flawless. Thank you does not say enough!!

To the musicians and performers, even those who came to the event and did not get a chance to perform, I am truly grateful. Everyone who made to the event would have to agree it was remarkable.

There are so very many people to thank for prayers, well wishes, cards, donations and their services. For the meals and food sent to us, thank you.

For me, I was apprehensive about the whole idea (you all know I'm not the spotlight person).

But I must say, for me it was a very humbling experience and so emotional, to see and feel the enormous amount of love and caring, very, very overpowering, and it took each and every one of you to make it happen.

A special thank you to my daughter Cynthia who moved in with me to take care of my needs and emptying the portable potty. That took love.

A special thank you to Geri, Holly and Lin for bravely coming to the house and helping Cynthia get me up and down the steps and into the floor of the car to make doctor appointments. "I felt your pain" ladies.

I express my gratitude to the village that made it all possible!
