Adam D. Taylor, beloved son

July 28, 2016

Adam Daniel Taylor, 32, of Rehoboth Beach, went to heaven on Tuesday, July, 26, 2016, at 7:21 p.m., surrounded by his loving family. He was born at Beebe on Tuesday, March 13, 1984, as a precious gift to Steve and Ann Marie Taylor. Unfortunately, a bacterial infection ended his life far too soon, preventing him from fulfilling the destiny God had planned for him. He loved growing up in Rehoboth, skateboarding, playing sports, hanging out with his friends at the Boardwalk and the beach, and enjoying cheeseburgers from Gus & Gus. He worked at his family's restaurant Ann Marie's Italian restaurant. Adam was gifted and very talented in music, playing the piano, and writing songs which we will all miss and unfortunately some we will never hear him play. Besides his passion for playing the piano, he loved to play basketball and go to Redskins games. He loved being with his family and friends.

Adam leaves behind his parents, Stephen Taylor and Ann Marie Sopko Papa; one son, Nathan Taylor; wife Shalynn Taylor; one brother, Stephen Michael Taylor, niece Summer Taylor; and one sister, Christie Ann Taylor Worrell, and nephews Joshua Worrell and Kane Lotocha. Also, two half-sisters Marie Carey and husband Jim, and Susan Brooks and husband Jim, nephews, Jacob and Lucas Brooks; step-grandmother Agnes Sullivan and uncle Brent Taylor of Kenly, N.C.; and stepfather Jerry Papa; and numerous cousins and close friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

His sister, Laura Papa, and paternal grandparents, Mama Ellen Sopko and Michael Sopko; and his maternal grandparents, Mary L. DuBosky and Elmer Taylor; and step-grandfather Clarence DuBosky, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at Midway Assembly of God Church, 34677 Old Postal Lane, Lewes, where friends may call for a time of visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 1, and again from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday morning.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Midway Assembly of God for a special coalition to combat the drug epidemic facing our community. Interment will be at Epworth Methodist Cemetery on Henlopen Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.

Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
