Beverly H. Bell, had creative mind

Beverly H. Bell, 68, of Dagsboro, formerly of Bel Air, Md., passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at the Compassionate Care Hospice Inpatient Unit at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington.

Beverly was born July 24, 1949, in Baltimore, Md. She held various positions with the Brain Injury Association of Delaware, and had previously served on the board of directors. She also served as a facilitator for the Southern Delaware Adult Acquired Traumatic Brain Association, where she built countless meaningful relationships with people who were rehabilitating from their brain injuries.

Bev contributed many hours with the Bethany Beach Women's Club, including orchestrating a fashion show. She was also a past member of the Red Hat Society.

Bev was also an avid reader of mystery books, and was well-known for her creative mind. She enjoyed refurbishing furniture, making costume jewelry, knitting and making afghans. She will be remembered as a loving wife and devoted friend.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Edward C. Bell; her beloved cat Misty; and numerous friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 13, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, where friends may visit after 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
