Boyle rounds out strong new team at Bethany Blues

For Andrew Boyle, coming on as the catering chef at Bethany Blues is something of a "coming full circle" moment. Boyle, a veteran in the kitchen and a highly experienced catering chef, has covered a lot of ground in his career. From being the executive chef in charge of craft services and catering on movie sets that included heavy hitters like Tom Cruise and Vin Diesel, to Off The Hook in Bethany Beach, and Baywood Greens where he met Bethany Blues Executive Chef Jordan Bohall, Boyle is a well-rounded chef with a strong background.

Joining a team that has been building momentum over the last few months, Boyle is excited for the possibilities on the horizon. For Bohall, hiring Boyle onto the team was a crowning jewel. Bohall says, "[At Baywood], I worked with all these people - and that whole team is with me now." Bohall says his team, including Boyle and pastry chef Sandy Sanchez, worked closely together before, and they know what to expect from one another. This rapport propels them forward.

Boyle says coming back together in the Bethany Blues setting feels fresh. "The level of professionalism is impressive," Boyle says. "I love being a part of that." With a background in barbecue, he is poised to deliver stellar service on the catering front, and also jump in on established projects, like the highly popular Bourbon Dinners.

Bethany Blues now boasts one of the strongest culinary teams in the area with six former executive chefs under one roof whose combined years of experience are in everything from large-scale catering operations to small-scale fine dining and everything in between. With Boyle manning the catering team and Bohall setting up a traditional kitchen structure, diners can bet on innovation in the new year.
