Cape JROTC assists American Legion for Thanksgiving

Cape Henlopen High School JROTC cadet volunteers assisted the American Legion Post 17 and Post 5 Ladies Auxiliary in collecting packaged and canned food items to help provide thousands of needy families with Thanksgiving dinners during this holiday season.
Food collection points were at Safeway and Giant in Rehoboth. In addition, the cadets loaded the donated food items into a Mountaire Farms truck for transportation to their processing facility where the donated items are sorted and the perishable poultry items are added to form a complete meal for a family of five to six people.
