Each senior to receive a gift with meal Christmas Day
December 13, 2017

Meals on Wheels Sussex County at CHEER has kicked off its Senior Sleigh Campaign for the Christmas holiday. CHEER is asking the Sussex County community to help fill the sleigh so that each senior receiving a meal on Christmas day can have a gift along with their meal.

Gifts will be accepted through Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the Warren and Charles C. Allen, Jr. CHEER Community Center at 20520 Sand Hill Road (off Route 9), east of Georgetown. Gifts may be dropped off with a tag indicating whether for a senior male or female, or either, in the beautiful sleigh constructed by Bob Coffman and donated by Walt Koopman.

Gifts for seniors can also be left under the CHEER Giving Trees at County Bank in Long Neck, Meineke Car Care in Lewes or Rehoboth K-Mart.
