Chuck Snyder's photos at U.S. Embassy in Kosovo

July 23, 2017

Earlier this year, Leslie DeGrande of the U.S. Embassy in Pristina, Kosovo, reached out to Southern Delaware Tourism requesting digital photos representing the Delaware beaches. DeGrande was seeking photos that could be printed on large canvases and hung in the ambassador's garden for an elegant Eastern Shore-themed 4th of July party.

"We are hoping to print large-scale photographs of different East Coast beaches to display at the party so that our local guests can see the beauty of the beaches," DeGrande said.

Southern Delaware Tourism contacted Rehoboth Beach photographer Chuck Snyder, who permitted several of his photos to be forwarded to the embassy for selection. After the party, Consular Chief Brian Corteville sent a thank-you note. He said, “Over 600 guests from around Kosovo, including politicians, musicians, members of civil society, and resident Americans, attended the event at the ambassador's residence. Many attendees described the event as the best the embassy has hosted so far."
