Clinical trials videoconference set at Cancer Support Community Sept. 29

September 24, 2016

Cancer Support Community Delaware will offer a videoconference program in the Sussex office at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29. Frankly Speaking about Clinical Trials focuses on building awareness about clinical trials. Cancer clinical trials provide patients with access to new therapies, the next generation of treatment. By joining a trial, patients can help move cancer treatment forward and provide real hope for a better future.

People impacted by cancer are invited to join Gregory Masters, MD, and Birte Feld, PhD, as they discuss how clinical trials are structured and how to foster an open dialogue with a patient's healthcare team. Tunnell Cancer Center will have a representative at the Sussex office.

All programs offered at Cancer Support Community are free of charge to people affected by cancer and their loved ones. The Sussex facility is at 18947 John J. Williams Highway, Suite 312, Rehoboth. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, go to www.cancersupportdelaware.org. To register, call 302-645-9150.
