Donald Ray accepted Christ early in his lifetime and began attending several local churches in the community, and rededicated his life in 2015.

He was known to be full of life and fun, and he loved spending time with his family just as much as he loved to walk.

On Donald Ray's birthday, Aug. 17, in the year 1994 he was united in matrimony to his wife of 23 years, Madeline Hall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Garrison and Valerie Garrison.

Many fond memories will remain with his wife Madeline of Millsboro; two sons, Dynell Toppin, Delmar and Brandon Garrison of Georgetown; two stepsons, Steven Abney of Salisbury, Md., and Jermaine Hall of Jacksonville, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Natasha Abney of Bridgeville, Jacqueline Kane (husband James) and Yolanda Hall, both of Seaford; seven sisters: Violet Handy of Millsboro, Wendy Bowen of Georgetown, Robbin Thompson (husband Doug) of Bridgeville, Kim Goodman and Valerie Wescott, both of Selbyville, Brenda Wescott of Dagsboro, and Linda Wescott of Laurel; five brothers, Joseph Garrison (wife Van) of Frankford, Earl Garrison of Georgetown, Kenneth Wescott Jr. (wife Aletha) of Seaford, and Alfred and Kelvin Wescott, both of Frankford. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, loved ones and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 13325 N. Worcester Hwy., Bishopville, Md., where friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon for viewing and visitation. Burial will immediately follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to JEVS Foundation, 1845 Walnut St., 7th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103, or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
