Freeman Companies launch year of 70th anniversary celebrations

Celebrating 70 years as leaders in innovative and trailblazing commercial and residential development and management throughout the Mid-Atlantic, the Carl M. Freeman Companies announced a slate of anniversary events including community service projects, block parties and special concerts.

"The story of our company is really a story about growing family and community," said CEO Michelle DiFebo Freeman. "It's about how we work, shop, live and play. It is the story of mothers and fathers making special beach memories for their children only to return as grandparents and great-grandparents for more memory making. Freeman is designing an array of opportunities to celebrate the wide-ranging community building and impact achieved over the seven decades. Current and past employees, residents, shop owners and community leaders will gather to mark the milestone and do some good in the process. Every anniversary event will carry a philanthropic component, from cleanup projects to activities for military families in need.

This June a special celebration at Bayside, Freeman's award-winning community in Fenwick Island, will bring together residents and guests. Later this fall, the company will also hold a special event for employees and their families at the Freeman Farm in Olney, Md. The event will also honor key company stakeholders including investors, community activists and elected officials.

In addition to celebratory events, Freeman is launching a comprehensive social media campaign for everyone to share their special story.
