Glenn D. Blood, maintenance man

Glenn D. Blood, 78, of Lewes, formerly of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington. He was born Thursday, July 7, 1938, in Wilmington, son of the late John and Virginia (Sutton) Blood.

Mr. Blood worked in the maintenance department for the state of Delaware for many years up until his retirement. He then stayed busy working a part time maintenance job for his local neighborhood. In his free time, Mr. Blood could often be seen out dancing at Parents Without Partners, and that is where he met Janet. He was an extremely sweet and kind man who didn't have a mean bone is his body. He will be dearly missed.

Mr. Blood is survived by his loving companion of over 20 years, Janet A. Kaczmarczyk; her daughter, Cheryl L. Fournarakis and her significant other J.W. Hocker IV of Rehoboth Beach; her two grandchildren, Angela L. Fournarakis and her fiancé David James Maichele Sr. and Alicia A. Fournarakis; his two great-grandchildren, David James Maichle Jr. and Dalton James Maichle; and his beloved cat Tissy.

All services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
