Joseph T. Scharf, devoted to family

Joseph T. Scharf, 70, of Milton, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at his home. He was born Saturday, May 10, 1947, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late Albert and Emma (El) Scharf.

Mr. Scharf was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was loved by many, and he will be genuinely missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

Mr. Scharf is survived by his beloved wife; four children; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 24, at Christ Lutheran Cemetery, German Hill Road, Dundalk, Md. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. Scharf's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, or Ronald McDonald House of Delaware, 1901 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.
